Sister Megan Rice: TRANSFORM NOW PLOUGHSHARES
Edinburgh Peace & Justice Centre  5 Upper Bow
Friday 8 January 5:30 – 7:30pm.

At the age of 82 Sister Megan Rice, a Catholic nun, along with two other Christian peace activists, caused “The biggest security breach in the history of the [USA’s] atomic complex” and shut down a nuclear weapons plant for two weeks. She was found guilty of sabotage but the verdict was later overturned on appeal and she was dramatically released from prison after more than two years. Come hear her tell her remarkable story.

Syria Update

Gather at the East End of Princes Street in Edinburgh at 5pm tonight (Thursday 3rd) to say ‪#‎StoptheBombing‬. As we feared the UK bombing in Syria started almost immediately. Bring placards and banners.
Glasgow gather at the same time at the Buchanan Street Steps – look out for similar events in other towns and cities and if there’s nothing organise it yourself. Message us with details and we’ll share as widely as we can.
